GSBB/J.H. Cohn Raises More Than $10,000 for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles

Good Swartz Brown & Berns, A Division of J.H. Cohn (GSBB/J.H. Cohn), recently raised more than $10,000 for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
The funds were raised through an employee kart-racing event that marked the first time the Firm’s West Coast offices held an event supporting Cohn for Kids—the umbrella campaign for the children’s charities that the Firm supports.
GSBB/J.H. Cohn employees raised donations from family, friends, and colleagues and kart-raced at the MB2 Raceway track in Sylmar. The funds the Firm raised will be applied to the areas of the hospital most in need of the resources.
“For 90 years, giving back to the community in which we live and work has been part of J.H. Cohn’s firm culture and we are proud to continue this tradition with our support of Childrens Hospital,” said Scott Sachs, CPA, Regional Managing Partner – Greater Los Angeles. “During a time of economic uncertainty and when donations are down for a number of charities, we are proud that our employees went the extra mile to help raise much-needed funds. The event also gave our employees the chance to get together outside of the office for an enjoyable morning.”
Through Cohn for Kids, the Firm supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Medhen Orphan Relief Effort, and other worthy charities that help children and young adults.
