Due Diligence Symposium Will Address Today's M&A Issues
4/18/2008
This year’s symposium—co-hosted by J.H. Cohn LLP, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, and The DAK Group—will deal with topics important to today’s dealmakers, such as:
- Valuation in an economic downturn
- Debt: Leverage trends in the current M&A market
- Due diligence in cross-border deals
- Structuring around "deal killers" and completing deals in slowing economic times
- Controlling due diligence in a multi-bidder environment
- The nuts and bolts of due diligence and effectively managing the due diligence process
- Strategic vs. financial buyers
Attendees will have a choice of breakout sessions, including the exclusive Private Equity Leadership Development Series™ for mid-level PE professionals. The general session, led by Steven Pinsky, J.H Cohn Private Equity Practice Director, will feature "M&A Feud," which pits a team of PE investors against a team of investment bankers in a lively competition. At the luncheon, Richard Medley, Ph.D., chairman of Medley Capital, a growing family of separately managed funds, will present the keynote address,"Addressing the Current and Expected Economic Market."
Symposium speakers and attendees represent middle-market M&A leaders including private equity professionals, corporate development professionals, I-bankers, attorneys, accountants, risk managers, bankers, and other lenders.
Additionally, due diligence professionals are invited to complete a short survey addressing their perspectives related to the mergers and acquisitions. Respondents will be entered to win a choice of Golf Digest's 2008 gold-ranked drivers: the Callaway FT-5, the Callaway FT-1, or the Cleveland Hibore XLS.
