Form 5500 Electronic Filing Requirements Are Now in Effect

Effective January 1, 2010, all 2009 Form 5500’s must be filed electronically using the ERISA Filing Acceptance System II (EFAST2). EFAST2 is a system designed by the Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation to simplify and expedite the submission, receipt, and processing of the Form 5500 and the new Form 5500-SF.
