J.H. Cohn LLP Announces Revenue, Strategic Growth Highlights for FY 2011

4/26/2011

J.H. Cohn LLP has announced revenues of $236 million for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2011.

“This growth reflects the reputation J.H. Cohn has built for honesty, technical excellence, and personalized service,” said Thomas J. Marino, CPA, chief executive officer of J.H. Cohn. “In these tough economic times, we are focused on guiding clients through challenges and helping them recognize and optimize upon new opportunities.”

Fiscal year 2011 highlights for J.H. Cohn include:

  • The J.H. Cohn Foundation’s Cohn for Kids campaign experienced a milestone year, surpassing the cumulative $1 million fundraising mark for Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey and reaching nearly $2 million for all charities combined. Foundation-supported charities include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and the Medhen Orphan Relief Effort (“M.O.R.E.”).
  • The Firm’s Financial Managers Learning Forum (“FMLF”), a premier resource for CFOs and financial managers to keep up with changing regulations, emerging trends, and best practices—while earning complimentary continuing professional education credits—launched in Los Angeles. In existence for more than 15 years, more than 2,000 FMLF members now attend sessions in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and California combined.
  • The J.H. Cohn Professional Women’s Program celebrated its fifth anniversary. In the past half-decade it has grown its efforts to focus on the localized needs of the Firm’s office and on business development while remaining true to its mission to help recruit, retain, and advance women.

Further, the Firm’s leadership scope grew with the addition of service-specific tax and wealth management partners to the Firm’s robust network of leadership and the appointment of Steven J. Mayer, CPA, as managing partner of the Firm’s New York region, which includes offices in Long Island, Westchester, and Manhattan. Steven previously served as managing partner of Amper, Politziner, and Mattia’s New York office.  Robert DeMeola, CPA, who previously led J.H. Cohn’s regional efforts in New York, assumed the role of co-chief operating officer.
