J.H. Cohn Names Scott M. Sachs Regional Managing Partner, Southern California

J.H. Cohn LLP, one of the top 15 accounting and consulting firms in the United States, has announced that Scott M. Sachs, CPA has assumed the role of regional managing partner for the Firm’s Southern California offices in Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, and San Diego. Scott previously served as regional managing partner – Greater Los Angeles.
In 2008, J.H. Cohn combined practices with Good Swartz Brown & Berns, where Scott served as managing partner. The combination established Good Swartz Brown & Berns, A Division of J.H. Cohn. In addition to its offices in Los Angeles and Woodland Hills, J.H. Cohn has had a presence in San Diego for more than 30 years. Partner Wade McKnight, CPA, will continue to serve as the Firm’s office managing partner for that location.
Scott has more than 20 years of experience serving privately held and public companies in both the emerging and middle markets. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries including technology, manufacturing and distribution, retail, and franchise. His experience includes both initial and secondary public offerings, debt and equity financing, and acquisition and divestiture analysis. Scott has also developed, supervised, and conducted professional development courses in the accounting and audit fields. He was honored twice by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal, once as one of the Valley’s “Top 40 Under 40” (an award that recognizes the accomplishments and community contributions of the San Fernando Valley’s most influential businesspeople) and again as one of the Valley’s Top 25 CPAs.
