David Swartz Receives Inaugural Public Service Award from Cal CPA LA Chapter

David Swartz, CPA, a J.H. Cohn LLP partner, will receive the first public service award from the Los Angeles chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (Cal CPA).
David is a former chapter treasurer, a role that Kristen Contreras, CPA, a J.H. Cohn manager, will hold for the 2010-11 year. He will receive the award at the 2010-11 Installation of Officers and Directors event on May 22.
As a recipient of the Los Angeles chapter award, David has also been nominated for the state-wide public service award from Cal CPA.
David currently serves as a gubernatorial appointee to the California Board of Accountancy, a division of the California Department of Consumer Affairs. He has 40 years of experience providing business advisory services to clients in several industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, retail, entertainment, real estate, and professional services. He is also chairman of the board for Los Angeles Jewish Home for Aging, which has more than 1000 residents.
