"Check-the-Box" regulations were adopted to minimize uncertainty and simplify IRS administration, and also had the unexpected benefit of reducing the effectiveness of Subpart F while creating other planning opportunities. Now on the table are provisions created to increase revenue by increasing taxes on U.S. multinationals.
