The Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 (“the Act”) and its provisions, when paired with laws already in effect, may prove to have a profound impact on restaurateurs on a multitude of areas, including:

  • Depreciation incentives;
  • Tax credit incentives, including R&D credits, the Work Opportunity Credit, and energy credits; and
  • Other miscellaneous incentives, including FICA adjustments, lease considerations, and internet sales and tax collection.
